15 % of the selling price = 3.75 €
Estimate: 20 % of the selling price.
Estimates based on Amazon's current fee tables for the EU. No calculator can know your individual conditions or product-specific surcharges — check critical calculations against your own statement.

The costs Amazon FBA brings with it
The calculator pulls them automatically — every value can be overridden.
- Referral fee
- 8 to 45 % of the gross price, depending on the fee group. Many groups have price bands: below €10 a different rate applies than above — and that rate then applies to the entire price, not only to the part above the threshold.
- FBA fee
- Driven by the size tier built from longest, median and shortest side plus shipping weight. Above a certain size it is no longer the real weight that counts but the volumetric weight (length × width × height ÷ 5,000).
- Storage fee
- Per cubic metre and month. From October to December it is considerably higher than from January to September — the calculator automatically applies the rate of the current season.
- Inbound to FBA warehouse
- Your cost, not Amazon's. We break the carton price down to the single unit, capped by 60 × 60 × 60 cm or 23 kg per carton.
- PPC and returns
- Both as a percentage of the gross price. Setting them to 0 makes you rich on paper only — without advertising a new listing barely happens.
- VAT
- Comes off the gross price before anything else is calculated. Standard rates: 19 % in Germany, 20 % in France, 22 % in Italy, 21 % in Spain and the Netherlands.
Frequently asked questions about the FBA calculator
Where do the fees come from?
From Amazon's official fee tables for EU sellers. Referral rates, FBA size tiers, storage prices and tax rates are loaded fresh on every page view — the same source the extension and the web app calculate from.
Item dimensions or package dimensions?
Package dimensions. Amazon charges the FBA fee for what is actually packed and shipped. For goods with a lot of outer packaging that easily amounts to a whole size tier.
Why is my ROI so much higher than my margin?
They measure against different reference values: €5 profit on a €25 selling price is a 20 % margin — against €4 cost of goods it is a 125 % ROI.
Does the calculator handle Pan-EU?
Here you calculate one marketplace at a time. The weighted Pan-EU calculation across five countries with their own sales shares, prices and advertising costs lives in the extension.
Can I save the result?
Not on this page. Saving, Excel export and turning a calculation into a real Octuno calculation happen in the extension or the web app.
